Thank you for stopping by to view this Modern Royal Wedding photographed in Baton Rouge, LA by wedding photographers Southern Amore’ Studios.
Once in a while, right in the middle of our ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale. This story is no different than many other fairytales; it stars a Queen and her King.
Upon meeting the bride Lisa, she told me all about her dream wedding and how it would be a “royal” affair of extravagant taste. Royalty is something to be admired and looked upon with great expectation. Lisa and Louis’ desire for the royal lifestyle and elegance that accompanies it, was the main inspiration for the celebration of their union.
No queen is complete without a gorgeous gown, and this special lady had two! While searching for her first dress, Lisa told me how special it was to have her two daughters with her. Their opinion was crucial for her to chose the ultimate gown for a royal bride. The second dress was chosen privately by Lisa alone to be a surprise for Louis. It was a perfect surprise for everyone, especially Louis. He couldn’t stop smiling when she walked out in that second dress.
The day of the wedding was filled with so many special moments that I was so honored to have captured. The bridal prep was held at the elegant downtown Baton Rouge Hilton Hotel. With everyone looking fancy in their matching, embroidered robes, the beauty prep was in full swing. She told me how overly excited she was, but she was also surprisingly relaxed. All the ladies were dolled up and given their bridesmaid gifts of jewelry by Lisa, to complete their look. Along with all her bridesmaids, she made her way to the church looking and feeling like a princess about to become a queen.
Lisa’s favorite moment from the wedding was her son walking her down the aisle. She said it was like as if he was walking into her dreams. After the ceremony, the couple left the church in a horse drawn carriage on their way to The Lyceum Ballroom. The place looked amazing! A royal banquet to remember; all decked out in complimenting shades of pink, green and gold. In true royal style, the wedding cake was an enormous tower riding on a carriage of confection.
As the celebration came to an end, the couple took part in a traditional Second Line Umbrella Dance. In true carnival style of extravagance, it was a fitting send off of royal proportions.
Please help me to congratulate this show stopping couple. May they live happily ever after!
